About Us....
Russ, my husband, and I have only recently become interested in participating in our community governance. We have always enjoyed Mechanicsburg and love all the benefits of a close knit community that cares about their neighbors. Some of you may have heard us sing at a local winery, or maybe you watched us participating in The Cumberland Singers in our area. You might have even caught a glimpse of Russ and I walking our scotty, Quinn, through the neighborhood. We have been gifted over the years by our neighbors with surprises like a sidewalk shoveled or a car jump when the weather got the better of our car battery! So when Russ said, "Paulette, why don't you run for borough council?", I realized this might be an opportunity to give back to the folks who have shared their kindness with us for so many years. Now that I am retired, I no longer have the demands of an accountant and CFO. And I promise I will give it all my thought, energy and talent to get the best results for everyone. This is where we live, where our daughter grew up and lives today, and where we call our home town! I am honored to have this opportunity to share my skills to benefit Mechanicsburg.

What makes you the best candidate for the position?
Mechanicsburg, like most towns, has experienced some real challenges over the last few years. Communications, budgeting, and collaboration are essential to ensure progress in any community but will be especially vital in 2021-22 as we recover together from the effects of Covid-19. I have the communications skills, the fiscal tools, the experience, and the dedication to meet these challenges. I look forward to working with the Borough Council, local businesses, area organizations, and our neighbors to ensure our legacy of "a good place to live" .
What issues are priorities for you?
My first priority is providing the fiscal stability to make sound financial decisions for the future. This includes grants, fundraising efforts, policies, procedures and sound financial planning for the future of our borough. Monies received by the Borough this year from infrastructure funding should be transparent and earmarked to provide the desperately needed improvements taxpayers deserve.
In my years of experience, communication is the key in working with others to set and successfully achieve goals or benchmarks in a home, a business, or a community. I am dedicated to listening, to hearing from the residents, so we can all share our priorities, our plans and our solutions. I intend to collaborate with all elected borough council members, businesses, residents, partners and neighboring communities to develop and achieve the best possible outcomes for every member of our community. This will begin with a user friendly and accessible Borough Website dedicated to best serving taxpayers in Mechanicsburg.
